Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register?

Registration is online only, and opens Friday May 1.

We are sold out for 2020 but email us at info (at) revelstokewomensenduro.ca to get on the wait list.

What's going on for the 2020 race re: COVID-19?

At this point, we are opening registration and hoping to race! We will definitely be following all public health guidelines, and that means running the race if possible by September, or cancelling (and refunding your money) if we can't run the race.

What do I get with registration?

You’ll not only get to race on Revelstoke’s best trails, but we’re throwing in lunch, snacks, swag, and the most ridiculously fun after party you could ever want.

Can I get a refund if I have to cancel?

Yep. 2020 is a tough year for all of us! We are offering refunds on your race registration (just not the user registration fee) if you cancel before August 31. Get in touch with us at info (at) revelstokewomensenduro.ca to get that going.

Do you have any accommodation recommendations or deals?

We'll post accommodation deals here when they become available!

Do I have to be an advanced rider to participate?

Nope. You can absolutely participate at any level but we do recommend that you are able to ride 30+ km and spend the day on your bike with a lot of elevation gain.

Trails will be intermediate/advanced, but we encourage everyone to come out and give it their all. If you want to walk a more difficult section, that is totally fine.

Check out past courses to get an idea of the trails we've raced on, as well as distance and elevation.

Oh yeah - wtf is an enduro?

Good question; we recommend you take a look at this Pinkbike intro to enduros. Basically, the uphills are untimed, and the timed parts come in downhill stages. You can ride with your friends, and at the end, we collect all the stages’ times to find a winner.

What do I need to know if I’ve never raced before?

The downhill timed sections will have riders starting at timed intervals - 30 seconds between each rider. We ask you to self seed at registration; if you know you’re gunning it, go out first. If you’re going to relax and cruise with friends, we recommend you let others go first.

If someone is coming up behind you on a timed downhill section, that means they’re faster than you, so please step aside as soon as your can and let them go by. If you’re the one coming up on someone else, please yell out “RIDER” to let them know you’re coming.

Can I use an e-bike?

Nope, this race is pedal-powered only.

Tell me more about the after party!

A combined effort with BikeFest Revelstoke and the Revelstoke Women's Enduro, this party is not one to miss. We'll be including a ticket to the party as part of your race registration, but we'll be selling extras as well, for $10. Tickets for your friends/partners/anyone who likes a bike party will be sold at a time and place TBA.
